Miles Clemons

 “Music is a way for you to express yourself by telling stories through music,” says Miles.

Born and raised in Raytown, Missouri, Miles is currently studying at Berklee College of Music. He is a rising jazz pianist known for blending traditional jazz influences with gospel and classical music to create a unique and dynamic sound.

Miles was introduced to music at an early age, beginning piano lessons at just seven years old. Growing up in a family with deep musical roots, he was exposed to jazz legends such as Bill Evans and Michel Legrand. Their music sparked a deep love for jazz and inspired him to pursue music seriously.

Miles studied classical piano with Loraine Long for nine years. At age 16, he earned the Noah-Matthew Siegel Academy Honors Scholarship, which provided him with free one-hour weekly lessons and access to master classes at the University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC). Under Mrs. Long's instruction, Miles developed the skills, discipline, and mindset required to become an exceptional pianist.

At UMKC, Miles studied with Dr. Olga Shupyatskaya, who focused on refining his technique, touch, and musical expression.

After graduating from high school, Miles earned the prestigious World Tour Scholarship, a full-tuition scholarship to Berklee College of Music. There, he is majoring in Professional Music with concentrations in Performance and Composition. At Berklee, Miles continues to refine his artistry while developing his own distinctive musical voice.

He spends hours each day exploring new ways to push the boundaries of music. By blending jazz with elements of trap and hip-hop rhythms, he creates compositions that express his emotions through colorful harmonies and memorable melodies. His goal is to inspire, uplift, and connect with listeners through his music.

Miles is becoming recognized for his captivating solo piano performances and innovative compositions. He has performed at numerous venues, including hotels and festivals, where he creates intimate musical experiences that draw audiences into his vivid imagination.

Currently, Miles is creating content for his social media platforms while also working on his debut album. As he continues to grow as an artist, he remains committed to exploring new musical landscapes and sharing his passion with audiences around the world. With a dedication to creativity, innovation, and artistic excellence, Miles is poised to make a lasting impact on the music industry. His journey is only beginning, and the future holds exciting possibilities for this talented young musician.
