Miles Clemons

 “Music is a way for you to express yourself by telling stories in the form of music”, says Miles.  Currently studying at Berklee College of Music is a kid born and raised in Raytown, Missouri. Miles is a rising jazz pianist known for blending traditional jazz influences with gospel and classical music, creating a unique and dynamic sound. He was introduced to music at an early age, starting piano lessons at 7 years old. Growing up in a family embedded with musician roots, Miles was exposed to jazz legends such as Bill Evans, and Michel Legrand at a young age which sparked a deep love for the genre, driving him to pursue music seriously. Miles studied classical training with Loraine Long for 9 years until he earned the Noah-Matthew Siegel Academy Honors Scholarship  that allowed him to take 1 hour free lessons every week, along with master classes at UMKC at the age of 16. Under the education of Loraine Long, Mrs. Long expected greatness out of Miles, who was taught the skills and mentally that it takes to be a remarkable pianist. At UMKC, Miles studied under Dr. Olga Shupyatskaya where she focused on perfecting Miles’s technique and touch. After graduating high school, Miles earned the World Tour Scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music where he majors in professional music with the concentration in performance and composition. At Berklee, Miles refines his skills and develops his distinct musical voice. He spends hours everyday studying ways to push the boundaries of music by experimenting with sounds such as trap-music and hip-hop rhythms within his compositions, striving to inspire and uplift people by expressing his feelings through colorful chords and melodies. Miles is a rising star in the jazz scene, known for his captivating solo piano performances and innovative compositions. Miles has performed at numerous venues and festivals, including various hotels. He is known for his ability to connect with listeners, creating an intimate atmosphere that draws audiences into the depths of his field of imagination. Miles is currently working on content for his social media platforms, and is also in the early works of his debut album. As Miles continues to evolve as an artist, he remains dedicated to exploring new musical landscapes and sharing his passion for music with the world. With a commitment to innovation, Miles is poised to make a lasting impact in the music scene.
